Belmont Girls Accepted into West Brom School of Excellence
- Updated: August 16, 2015
This week saw another one of our under 10s girls team join the West Bromwich Albion School of Excellence. Both Billie-Rose Tipping and Eve Phelps have been offered 12 month contracts to train alongside the under 9s, we are very proud of both girls.
The School of Excellence will allow the girls to further their football ability well still being able to play grassroots football with Belmont Wanderers.
“For me both as a coach and parent its great to see girls from our club and also our county having such a great opportunity, yes its a massive commitment for the girls and parents training up there twice a week. However the pathway could potentially lead on to bigger and better things. We hope that it will inspire others in our club to jump at these chances when they arise” – Chris Tipping (Head of Girls Development)
As they progress through the age groups with the School of Excellence they will have the opportunity to play matches with other sides from the country, some of which are Manchester United, Stoke, Blackburn and a plethora of others.
A big well done to the girls!!
