Funday Sunday a Success

Today we held a small funday to help raise funds for the club and awareness for grassroots football in the county. The whole day was a great success with games being played by our under 10s girls, under 12s girls and under 14s girls, along side this we also had a training session put on by our under 11 boys.
The club welcomed teams from Leominster and Lads Club, coming to take part in a couple of friendly matches. The days activities entertained all, with positive feedback coming from all our guests.
As well as a bouncy castle, cakes, BBQ there was also a raffle with prizes donated from various local people and businesses, some of which included:
- Hereford F.C (Signed Shirt Top Prize)
- Belmont Tesco
- Belmont McDonald’s
- Asda
- Aaron Mullen from Bodymods
As well as a plethora of goodies from local people and others involved in the club, a special thanks goes out to all those people, far too many to mention.
Update: The day raised over £275 for the club well done!!
Dan Pitt club Secretary had the following to say: “For us it was a massive mile stone in our development as a community based club, we are looking to develop youth based football for both girls and boys within our county. Being a reasonably young club, to hold a small event like this gives us the potential to now scale it up next time and generate more interest, we are already looking at how we can put on a tournament next year. I should say a massive thanks to the people from the community and club that helped out.”
The club would like to also thank Hereford F.C for donating the signed shirt for our raffle, its great to see support coming from our local football club. A football donation like this means a lot to the members of the club and can help build inspiration and belief in the local football community.
