Ledbury Swifts host under 12s girls tournament

This weekend the under 12 girls took part in a tournament at Ledbury, hosted by Ledbury Swifts. The 7 a side tournament saw Lads Club A & B, Leominster Minions, Ledbury Swifts and Belmont Wanderers FC take part in several group stage matches, some great football played by all sides and credit to Ledbury Swifts for hosting a fantastic tournament.
The two teams in the final were the Lads Club teams, the winners being Lads Club B, our girls done well with one loss, two draws and a win to just miss out on a place in the final.
The overall atmosphere was very positive from all players, coaches and parents, with a lot of support for girls footy from all corners.
Our girls had the pleasure of wearing their new kits kindly sponsored by CN Sport in Hereford and printed by Hereford Industrial Supplies. Special thanks to Mark Beavan for going above and beyond to get them done in time for the tournament.
We look forward to next week seeing our under 10s girls and under 12s girls field two teams each in the Fownhope tournament, along with the Boys doing the same in their respective categories. We will be going there in full force, for this young developing club it will be great to see!
